Daily Bible Verse – 11th May 2025 – Psalm 34:18 (NIV)
“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.”
Message: “God is Near in the Pain”
Pain can feel like isolation. When your heart is broken or your spirit feels crushed, it may seem like God is far away. But Psalm 34:18 is a powerful reminder that God is closest when we are at our lowest. He doesn’t stand at a distance when you cry; He leans in. He doesn’t ignore your ache; He moves to heal it.
God’s nearness in suffering is not always about removing the pain immediately—it’s about being your comforter, your strength, and your refuge through it. If you’re hurting today, don’t run from Him—run to Him. There is healing in His presence.

Father of Compassion, thank You that You are close to me, especially in my moments of pain. When my heart is heavy, remind me that You are near—not distant. Help me to feel Your presence, receive Your comfort, and lean into Your strength. Heal what is broken, restore what is lost, and breathe new hope into my soul. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
