SCRIPTURE: Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. – 1 Thessalonians 5:18 (NIV)
Joyce Meyer Devotional 3 October 2024 Message:
I recommend forming a habit of giving thanks the moment you wake up each day and continuing to do so throughout the day. A thankful person is a happy person! I have also noticed in my own life that I have more energy when I am thankful.
It is easy to fall into the trap of focusing on what is wrong with life and the people we deal with, but that is not what God desires, and it steals our joy and energy. Each of us has many things to be thankful for, but the first thing to thank God for each day is His love and salvation through Jesus. What an amazing gift God has freely given us!
Thank God at all times, including circumstances that you don’t like. Give thanks that you don’t have to go through your challenges alone because God is always with you. You are more than a conqueror in Christ (see Romans 8:37), and He always causes you to triumph in Christ Jesus (see 2 Corinthians 2:14).
Prayer of the Day: Father, I thank You for Your amazing goodness and for Your help and presence in my life.
