INSPIRATIONAL: Yes the enemy tempted Jesus for forty days, but on day forty one angels showed up and strengthened Him. Yes Goliath taunted the Israelites forty days, but on day forty one, David showed up and put an end to him. You may be in a forty-day period now, it doesn’t look like you’ll ever get well, get out of debt, see your family restored. You could easily complain, be negative. Try a new approach, “Father thank You that day forty-one is coming. I know You’ve already set an expiration date for this trouble.”

Some storms you can’t stop. There are some battles you can’t win. It’s going to take the Most High God breathing on your life. The good news is He’s watching over you. He sees a little sparrow when it falls to the ground. How much more is He concerned about you? He knows the struggle. He knows who did you wrong and what looks impossible. He wouldn’t have let you get in that difficulty if He couldn’t bring you out.

Today’s Word
After King David fell into an adulterous affair, his soul felt broken and wounded. When you fall into sin, when you know better but you do it anyway, it’s easy to live wounded and think you’re too far from God, that you’ve made too many mistakes. You can also be wounded from what someone else did to you. But God can restore your soul.

He brings healing from the hurts, the pains of the past, what wasn’t fair, the loss, the heartache. He brings healing from self-inflicted wounds, mistakes you’ve made, regrets you’re living in. He brings healing from anxiety and depression. If you feel broken and wounded, God is working even now to restore your soul. Get honest with yourself and release the guilt, worry, anger, or jealousy, and then the healing will come.

Forces that have held you back will be broken off your emotions, your attitudes, your thoughts. Joy will come. Peace will come. God will do a new thing. He will not only restore your soul, but He will bring you into new levels of fulfillment, abundance, and victory.

Prayer For Today
“Father, thank You that when my soul feels broken and wounded, You are the Good Shepherd who restores me. Thank You that if I fall into sin or if someone else has wounded me, You come and rescue me. I believe that You are working even now to fully restore my soul. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
