Today’s Word
When we come to the end of our days, God is going to ask us, “What did you do with the time I gave you? Did you develop your gifts and talents? Did you accomplish your assignment? How did you spend your life?” It’s not going to work to make excuses for why we did not redeem the time. “God, my friend got me off course.” “God, I lived bitter because somebody did me wrong.” “God, I was negative because my company let me go.” You have a responsibility to live your life well.
Make the decision that you’re going to be an on-purpose person. Set your goals and be disciplined to stick with it. Prune off the relationships that are not adding to your life. And don’t go to bed with any kind of defeat, bitterness, or negativity still in your mind. Every day is a gift. Make sure you’re investing your time and not wasting it. If you do this, the seeds of greatness inside you are going to take root and flourish. You’re going to see God’s abundant favor.
Today’s Inspiration: God is saying, “I’ve taken care of your past. I’ve forgiven your mistakes. I’ve planned beauty for the aches, joy for the mourning, healing for the hurts, new beginnings for the loss.” Don’t waste your time making plans to escape the hurts, the pain. If you’re going to build anything, build a tower of hope, a tower of faith. Believe that your past is forgiven, that the threats are gone, that what’s held you back has been broken. You are free to step into the favor, blessing, and joy that God has destined for you.
To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that he might be glorified.
Prayer For Today
“Father, thank You for giving me the gift of this day to live to the full. Thank You that You are calling me to invest my life in what’s best for me, to redeem the time, and to run my life with purpose. Help me to make the most of every opportunity. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
