Your destiny is not tied to those who left you. God doesn’t need anything you lost to bless you. Those who walked away, who didn’t understand you, who betrayed you, they didn’t stop what God has for you. Let it go. Quit dwelling on it, reliving the hurt, thinking about how you can pay them back, or hoping to change their mind. God closed the door. Be at peace with those who have walked away. Quit trying to hold on to people who don’t want to be there.

You’re not supposed to chase people to love you, accept you, believe in you. If they want to leave, let them walk. You don’t need them. This takes the pressure off. No more striving and straining, trying to convince people to be for you. That’s laboring in vain. That’s going to wear you out. Trust God to be your doorkeeper. Trust Him with your relationships.

Solomon said, “Unless the Lord builds the house, they labor in vain.” If you’ll let God bring your relationships and trust Him with who comes into your life, then it won’t be a struggle. You can be who you are. You’re not dependent on someone else to feel good about yourself. You won’t live trying to force people to like you, lowering your standards to be accepted and approved.

If someone doesn’t want to be in your life, it’s no big deal. You let them go. It doesn’t mean they’re a bad person or something’s wrong with them. They’re just not right for you at this time. Maybe they were fine for a season, but this is a new season.

“Father, thank You that my faith and trust are anchored to You and Your power at work in my life. Thank You that I don’t have to be moved by the tests and troubles I face because I am fully persuaded You will do what You promised. I declare that my hope is in You. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
